Folding chairs can be easily stored away to free up floor space until extra seating is actually needed.
Especially for secondary chair needs for visitors, folding chairs are available in a very wide variety of materials and at all price levels.
Table surface can be stand-alone (folding versions can be stored when not needed), or a countertop of a storage unit or desk.
